The Bowen Technique - Bowen Therapy
Hull · Beverley · East Yorkshire

The Bowen Technique is a soft tissue remedial therapy, named after its innovator Tom Bowen. The technique uses gentle, rolling-type movements made with the fingers and thumbs at precise locations on the body and is interspersed with short breaks, where the client is left resting to allow the treatment to be absorbed. Each treatment is holistic and addresses the whole body, although problem areas will receive greater attention. There is no manipulation or adjustment of hard tissue, no force is used or needed and there is no awkward bending, twisting or re-positioning of the client during the treatment. Because of this, Bowen Therapy is suitable for clients for whom other forms of therapy might be too aggressive, forceful or invasive, from babies through to the frailest of adults. In addition to enthusiastic responses regarding their physical problems, clients often report how relaxed they felt during a session of Bowen Therapy and how it has helped them cope with stress.

Consultations are available for :-

Asthma
Hay Fever and Sinus problems
Stress and Anxiety
Headache and Migraine
and more....

Three treatments, at weekly intervals, are often sufficient to achieve lasting relief from even long standing pain. Bowen is suitable for people of all ages, including babies, and all levels of health. The treatment can be performed through light clothing, so it is best to avoid wearing jeans or other heavy materials. You are welcome to bring lighter clothes to change into.
